The CIS Department's Two Minors: CS & IS

We offer two minors in the CIS department: Information Systems (IS) and Computer Science (CS). Both minors require 18 credits.

These minors provide students in other fields of study with a solid knowledge of computers and their applications. The minor is designed to assist students in gaining employment and coping with the rapid changes in technology that are affecting and will continue to affect both their personal and professional lives.

The advisor for all students in the CS minor and IS minor programs is Professor Susan Traynor.

  • 6 credits of CIS electives in courses 300-level or above.
